Team Beer Bacon & Bourbon!
This will be our 9th year of fundraising for The Walk to Defeat ALS, our 8th year of walking without Roman, and it's been 7 years without him in our lives. I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say he is greatly missed and having this time once a year to all get together and walk for a cause is an important part of his remembrance.
We raise money in the name of Roman Auxier: husband, father, grandfather, and conqueror of 80's mustaches. His favorite drink was bourbon. His favorite food was bacon. Roman left us entirely too soon. In mid-2012, Roman began experiencing weakness in his left foot and on February 17, 2014 he lost his battle with ALS...but his legacy of beer-making continues (actually Alex hasn't made beer in a while but said he would start again). He fought hard until the end but, in true Roman fashion, left on his own terms. We raise money in his name so that future generations won't have to.
